Uzalo Actor Cebolenkosi Mthembu Shares The Devastation Of Losing His Voice After His Battle With COVID-19. Uzalo star actor Cebolenkosi Mthembu has been going through a lot lately after revealing his recent battle with the Coronavirus.

Opening up to The Daily Sun publication, Mthembu shared that in January he and his father were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, Mthembu’s father succumbed to the virus whilst thankfully the actor recovered.

After making a full recovery, Cebolenkosi returned to work however, in the month of February his voice began to disappear.

“I was cleared of COVID, so I went back to work but my voice just disappeared this month” he said.

The actor shared how he then returned to the doctor who has prescribed Vitamins and other medications to assist with his voice problem, however all his attempts at taking the meds have failed.

Mthembu shared his worry that the disappearing of his voice will soon affect his career, and he is already behind with his acting scenes on the telenovela. Uzalo has started shooting its new season already, and the actor has now learned that he has quite a number of scenes to shoot.

“I’m scared, I don’t know what to do. My voice is my everything, now that I have lost it I feel like I’ve lost everything” Lebo said.

Mthembu plays the role of a policeman Nyawo on Uzalo and he is also a radio DJ at community radio station Vibe FM.
