Thembisa Nxumalo Gushes Over Finally Working With Her Best Friend Vuyo Ngcukana. Working together with your bestie is a dream come true and The Queen actors Thembisa Nxumalo and Vuyo Ngcukana have finally been blessed with the opportunity. Nxumalo and Ngcukana’s friendship goes back a some years, and once again their career paths have crossed.
An ecstatic Thembisa took to social media to gush over getting another chance to work with her bestie Vuyo, sharing how they used to daydream about doing acting scenes together one day. Fast forward a short while later by the grace of the man upstairs, the opportunity has finally presented itself on award winning Mzansi Magic drama The Queen.
“We used to daydream about doing scenes together one day. God was like…all in due time my children. Be patient” she wrote.
After actress Zandile Msutwana sustained an injury whilst on set and soon after, Thembisa joined the cast of The Queen to play Msutwana’s role of Vuyiswa Maake. This was said to be just a temporary replacement but, it seem as though fans have warmed up to Thembisa playing the role and are loving every moment of screen time she gets. The actress gushed about getting to do scenes with her bestie Vuyo on set, who plays the character of Schumacher on the show.
This is not the first time that the duo have worked on a production as they recently acted together on Mzansi magic’s drama Unmarried. Vuyo responded to the post, with a heartfelt shoutout to the actress.
“You have revived and strengthened my faith time and time again until it was engrained in me, you have sent the elevator down for me, held doors open, for all that I will forever be grateful for, your friendship & love have sustained me, thank you best friend” Vuyo wrote.
