Reflecting on the special o, Thembi Seete took to social media to express her emotions:

“Last night, Lebo Mathosa and I were honoured as #queensofthe90s at the @basadiinmusicawards_sa ceremony. What made the evening even more special was having my brothers @theo_nhlengethwa and @juniorsokhela by my side @boom_shakasa—where it all began.

“The event was a wonderful reunion, filled with familiar beautiful faces who are still passionate, strong, and dedicated to their craft. I want to extend my gratitude to @hloni_modise for recognizing our contributions, reminding us of our legacy, and celebrating our impact on the industry. Your acknowledgment means the world to us, making us feel seen, appreciated, and loved.

“We had a fantastic time enjoying the food and the ceremony. Your efforts have truly touched our hearts, and we are forever grateful. May God continue to bless and strengthen you. You are truly amazing! Sending love, warm hugs, and abundant blessings.”

The Basadi In Music Awards continues to honour and uplift women in the music industry, ensuring their contributions are never forgotten. Thembi Seete’s recognition as a Queen of the 90s is a testament to her lasting impact on South African music and entertainment.
