Following MultiChoice’s decision to cancel the Real Housewives of Johannesburg (RHOJ), actress and TV producer Sonia Mbele is stepping into a new venture—launching her very own podcast titled Woza Nazo. Known for her role in the iconic TV show Generations, Mbele is now setting her sights on creating a platform that goes beyond ordinary podcasting.
According to ZiMoja, Sonia Mbele promises that Woza Nazo will be anything but frivolous. “We are not coming up with frivolous stories and topics. This will be empowering, and the name of the podcast is called Woza Nazo,” she told ZiMoja. The entrepreneur is determined to tackle a wide range of topics, even those that might be uncomfortable for some.
The idea for the podcast was sparked by the success of a previous show she hosted on Netflix. “People really liked it and they were praising it. I thought, ‘Why not try something like that?'” Mbele shared. With the positive reception of her earlier work, she decided to expand her reach and create a podcast that caters to a broad audience.
Woza Nazo will feature an eclectic mix of guests, ranging from businesspeople to celebrities, and even ordinary individuals with extraordinary stories. “It will cater for everyone. I am not limited to just celebrities. Just like our topics,” Mbele added, hinting at the inclusive and diverse nature of the show.
