Controversial Limpopo rapper Katlego “Shebeshxt” Chauke is once again in hot water after a video surfaced online, allegedly showing him driving recklessly while drinking alcohol. The video has sparked outrage across social media, with many South Africans demanding action from the police.
In the video, Shebeshxt is seen behind the wheel of his Volkswagen Golf GTI, speeding while recording himself with a friend in the passenger seat. What has shocked viewers most is that he is not wearing a seatbelt, appears to be drinking alcohol, is using his phone, and is driving at a high speed—all at the same time.

That accident left the rapper seriously injured and claimed the life of his 9-year-old daughter, Onthatile. Many fans had hoped that painful incident would change his reckless behaviour. Instead, they now believe he has not learned from the past.

The man is still going to kill innocent people (maybe someone’s breadwinner and only parent). Hope they both get arrested and put away.”
Another user, @PovertyKillerB, said: “No seatbelt, drinking and driving, using his phone while driving. Speeding. Absolutely no need to continue with the investigation of the accident that led to his daughter’s death, every answer is in this video. Arrest him. @ArriveAlive @SAPoliceService”
@VITO_G_Wagon added: “No seatbelt, drink and driving—these are punishable offences. @SAPoliceService.”
In December 2024, he responded to earlier drunk driving claims from the June accident, writing in a Facebook post:
“Botse Taba Yaore Ke Kreile Accident Ke Nwele Le Ekwele Mang? Leraore Nkebe Ke Nwele Nkabe Kele Free Or Nkabe Ke Swerwi? Nou Sio Brown Bottle Ye Le E Bonang Kua Videong Kele Ka Koloing Le Sure Gore Ebe Enwa Kenna? Le Busy Kanna Too Much, Lesa Cheki Maphelo Alena.”
This roughly translates to: “Where did you get the news that I was drunk during the accident? If I was drunk, would I still be free or would I have been arrested? Just because you see a brown bottle in the car, are you sure I was the one drinking it? You are too focused on me and not checking your own lives.”
His explanation has not convinced the public, especially now with new footage showing similar dangerous behaviour. Many are calling on law enforcement to take immediate action before more lives are put at risk.
