SA Celebs Who’ve Shown Zinhle Mabena Support Amid Attempted Murder Allegations. Former Isibaya actress Zinhle Mabena went through the most recently after the news of her arrest got out. According to reports, the actress was arrested on the charge of attempted murder, making her the hottest topic on the streets of twitter.

Zinhle and her estranged husband Dr Ngwenya are in the middle of a divorce and saying that things are ending on a sour note would be an understatement. Zinhle was arrested last week at her home and was detained over night at Olievenhoutbosch police station in Centurion.

The Gauteng Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele previously confirmed that the actress had been taken away for the suspicion of her involvement in the attempted murder of her husband, and the death of his body guard.

Since her release, Zinhle Mabena’s team have sent out an official statement regarding the actresses arrest and according to the statement, all alleged allegations against Zinhle were not plausible and therefore the case was thrown out.

In the statement, Mabena’s lawyer Joshua Lazarus claimed that the arrest was unlawful and made to intimidate and damage the reputation of his client.

“I act on behalf of Zinhle and confirm that she was unlawfully taken into custody yesterday but [she] is now a free woman after the NPA declined to place the matter on the roll, because of the preposterous nature of the allegations against our client” the statement reads.

The court has reportedly decided that more investigation needed to be done before the case would be reopened again.

After the release of the statement, many well known celeb females showed their support to Zinhle including Gugu Khati, Norma Mngoma who also went through her very own divorce drama, Masasa Mbangeni, Jessica Nkosi and many more.
