“Allow me to RE-INTRODUCE myself in 2026. I am PENNY NTULI, the 2x AWARD WINNING RADIO PERSONALITY… I’ve been awarded a FUTURE of RADIO Award. This prestigious award was issued out on SABC NEWS on Expressions by Jonathan Griffiths & I’m the very first to ever receive IT. Ngisukuma nokubonga.”

Ntuli, known for her vibrant presence on South African radio, has not only been recognized for her talent but has also announced her departure from Jozi FM. On Wednesday, she confirmed her exit with a heartfelt message on Facebook.

“When I joined Jozi FM, I thought I would only work for six months and go back home,” Ntuli said.

“But here I am almost two years later, and that’s just how healthy and welcoming the environment has been to me.”

She credited both the listeners and her colleagues for supporting her growth, especially as she navigated learning new languages.

“Under Jozi FM, I learnt new languages…Ngibonga abalaleli [I thank the listeners] for being very patient with me njengoba bengingakwazi ukubiza amanye amagama [because I didn’t know how to pronounce some words], but ba nthusitse ho ithuta [they helped me learn], especially my colleagues.”

Penny proudly reflected on her achievements: “Under Jozi FM’s guidance, I am now a two-time award-winning radio presenter in less than two years. With that being said, it’s time for me to grow on to greener pastures and new opportunities.”

Ntuli joined Jozi FM in 2024 after leaving Gagasi FM, following a salary dispute where she expressed dissatisfaction with her R2 800 per month offer. Today, she is celebrated not only for her talent but for her determination and growth in the radio industry.

Her fans and colleagues alike are now eager to see where this award-winning radio star will shine next.
