Maps Maponyane who is the owner of several Buns Out burger restaurants has shared some rather sad news on his social media. It seems like business hasn’t been going as planned and now he has decided to close down one of the branches. The TV host took to his Instagram story to share more details as to why.
The former Top Billing presenter revealed that the Buns Out restaurant in Rosebank will be permanently closing down due to the effects of the on going lockdown. The businessman explained how the vision of growth that he had for the restaurant and the future was unfortunately derailed by lockdown levels. Especially those with harsh restrictions such as the prohibiting of alcohol sales and more.
Due to all the other factors that have contributed to the uncertainty of business in South Africa during a pandemic, he and his associated have made the tough decision of putting all their effort into saving the two remaining branches located in Linden and Norwood.
