South African media personality and YouTuber Lasizwe was all smiles as he joined Maybelline Africa to celebrate a major milestone—the brand’s 110th birthday. The event, held on 17 May 2025 in Johannesburg, brought together beauty lovers, influencers, and celebrities to honour Maybelline’s legacy of over a century in beauty innovation.
Lasizwe, who is one of the newest members of the Maybelline Africa Digital Squad, took to Instagram to share his excitement and gratitude. “Words can’t express how grateful I am…. Like I am a whole Maybelline New York Africa ambassador and I got to celebrate the 110th birthday with them!!! Happy 110th Birthday @maybellineafrica! I love you so much!!! and yes, Maybe I’m born with it!” he wrote, clearly thrilled to be part of the celebration.
Back in March 2025, Maybelline Africa announced Lasizwe as one of its new digital ambassadors alongside some of Mzansi’s hottest talents—Amapiano star Kamo Mphela, DJ Doowap, and rising singer Filah Lah Lah. The beauty brand welcomed them with open arms on social media, officially introducing them as the faces of the Maybelline Africa Digital Squad.
Lasizwe was overwhelmed with joy when the news first broke. “I am now part of MAYBELLINE AFRICA! MAYBELLINE X LASIZWE. Pinchhhh meee!!!!!” he gushed in an earlier post.
