Lasizwe Responds To Backlash Over Viral Video Of Him Partying Amidst Mental Health Claims. Issues surrounding mental health are very sensitive which is why social media users gave Lasizwe support after he revealed that he had checked himself in to a mental health facility. The sympathy soon turned to suspicion when a video showed the YouTuber partying up a storm in Sun City this past weekend.

Social media users soon dragged Lasizwe for making people his fools and asking them to keep him in their prayers. Taking to social media, Lasizwe has since released a video addressing the viral video which he claims was taken after his stay at the mental facility. Dambuza explained how he intentionally involved his fans in his recovery journey to show that mental health wellness plays a big part in life and it should be taken more seriously.

“I had a choice to either involve my fans in my mental heath journey or be quiet about it. I chose to even you as a form of awareness. This is because it is mandatory for you to take care of yourself and know where to stop and take a break.

According to the award winning content creator he had handed over his social media to his team while at the facility which is when the confusion must have happened. Lasizwe explained that he had communicated to his team to share about his journey towards his release from the facility however, it seems like the instructions might have been slightly misunderstood.

Lasizwe revealed that he was already out of the facility when the video was taken but he did apologize for not updating his fans that he was out of the facility at the time the video was shared.

“I instructed my team to post the video at the end of my journey which I believe from my side and their side we failed to also reiterate that this is towards the end of my journey so everyone was under the impression that I am still in the facility and I failed to update you that I am out doing well.” he said.

Last week Lasizwe mentioned he had admitted himself into a mental health wellness facility and posted a video from inside his room. The award winning YouTuber captioned the video sharing that he is not one to shy away from making his feelings known. He also admitted that he has been struggling with depression for a few months now but he is ready to face his demons.

“One thing about me, I am not shy to express how I feel. I have checked myself into a Mental Health Wellness Facility. I haven’t been okay for the past months. I have been so depressed. I have decided to fight this by taking a break and dealing with this 1 on 1” he wrote.

Followers and celebrity friends including Boity, Nandi Madida, K Naomi and more commented on the post with well wishes and applauded him for the bravery and vulnerability he has shown his fans.
