Fresh off his successful UK tour, celebrated producer DJ Tira has patched things up with gospel sensation Dumi Mkokstad. The two artists crossed paths at the memorial service for the late Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule, held at the GNF church in Durban, marking a positive turn in their relationship.

According to TshisaLIVE, the  reconciliation comes after a recent clash at the Celebrity Games tournament at Tsakane Stadium in Ekurhuleni last month. The event, which brings together stars from the gqom, gospel, and hip-hop worlds for friendly soccer matches, became a source of tension when Mkokstad insisted on halting the game. The reason? DJ Tira was accused of including professional players in his team, which did not sit well with the gospel singer.

Reflecting on the incident, Mkokstad revealed to TshisaLIVE that the two artists quickly resolved their differences. “Immediately after that incident, we spoke, and we were fine, and when he was in the UK, we were talking on text messages. I think DJ Tira and I are the same; we don’t take such incidents seriously because we understand what was happening on that day was about fun, but all is well,” Mkokstad said.
