‘Generations: The Legacy’ actor “Gadaffi” Starting to Enjoy Love Scenes

‘Generations: The Legacy’ actor Vuyo Dabula has warmed up to doing television love scenes, this after he in the past refused to take part in any intimate scenes. Sunday World has revealed that Vuyo, who plays Kumkani “Gadaffi” Phakade in the soapie, previously avoided scenes that required him to intimately kiss, fondle or sleep with fellow actresses, because of his religion.

Explaining his decision, Vuyo said: “Yes, it was based on my religion, Christianity. But that is a very old thing. It was a personal decision and that was a very long time ago.”

Vuyo said he no longer has a problem with lovemaking scenes as he used to be in the past.

“Last year I spoke to my agency, producers and directors and everyone involved. I stated my case that I don’t have a problem with the scenes as was the case a long time ago,” he said.

“As we speak, I’m doing kissing scenes and they are very much romantic,” he said.

Vuyo has also denied the rumours that he does not do kissing scenes on ‘Generations’.

“It’s crazy to think that I don’t kiss Tshidi (his Generations wife, played by Letoya Makhene). We have so many kissing scenes together, those scenes are real. To think they are doctored would be the craziest thing I have ever heard,” Vuyo said.

Vuyo appeared in the SABC3 soapie ‘Isidingo’, and is also known for his character of Tsetse in the drama-series ‘Yizo Yizo’.
