Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa Set To Star In Weldun Media’s Short-Limited Series, ‘FOUR WALLS’! The Weldun team, in association with the National Film & Video Foundation, will be presenting to the world their most passionate work yet with a new scripted short-limited series called Four Walls.
Created by; Juvaiś Dunn, Menzi Mzimela and Kgosana Monchusi, the 9-part short-limited series follows Grace Molotsi, a married nurse from the township who feels trapped and at her wits end due to an abusive husband who has made her life a living nightmare. When she finally takes the decision to end his life, her house is invaded by two thugs on the run from a cash-in-transit robbery gone wrong who take her hostage.
Four Walls provides insight on the systematic societal issue of Gender Based Violence (GBV) posing the question; just how far do victims have to go to be heard and protected?
The captivating limited-series is co-directed by creators Juvaiś Dunn, Menzi Mzimela and Kgosana Monchusi and features some of South Africa’s best talent; Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa (Grace), Khulu Skenjana (Grootman), Gift Leotlela (Lefa), Jeff Jackson (Dice) and Israel Matseke Zulu (Voice of Ace).
