Moozlie Nominated for Best Female Rap Act at AFRIMMA

South African TV and radio presenter Moozlie is celebrating a major career milestone after receiving an international award nomination.

The media personality recently announced that she has been nominated for Best Female Rap Act at the AFRIMMA Music Fest. Moozlie shared the exciting news while appearing on Metro FM, where she revealed that she will be representing South Africa on the international stage.

Moozlie later took to Instagram to celebrate the nomination with her fans and followers. The presenter and rapper could not hide her excitement as she spoke about being recognised in an international awards category.

Sharing the news on social media, she wrote, “INTERNATIONAL AWARD NOMINEE ALERT. So blessed & excited to be representing South Ah in the Best Female Rap Act category at this year’s @afrimma Awards taking place in Dallas, Texas!”

The nomination marks another exciting moment in Moozlie’s career as she continues to make her mark in the South African entertainment industry. Known for her work in television, radio and music, she has built a strong presence across different areas of the entertainment world.

In a video shared alongside her announcement, Moozlie was visibly excited about the recognition. She proudly spoke about representing her home country at the prestigious awards.

“I am so excited! Flying the South African flag high,” she said.

Moozlie is the only South African female artist nominated in the Best Female Rap Act category, making the recognition an even bigger moment for her and her supporters.

The AFRIMMA (African Muzik Magazine Awards) Music Fest is a premier Pan-African outdoor festival celebrating African music and culture. The event brings together different sounds and genres, including Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afro-fusion and Hip-Hop. It also combines live concerts with food, fashion and community, while coinciding with the prestigious AFRIMMA award ceremony.

The awards will take place at Annette Strauss Square at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, 12 September 2026.

Moozlie is not the only South African talent receiving recognition at this year’s awards. Tyla, Mawhoo, Makhadzi, Uncle Waffles and Babalwa M are all nominated for Best Female Southern Africa.

Meanwhile, Ciza is nominated for Song of the Year for his hit song Isaka. Other African stars, including Tyla, Tems, Burna Boy and Davido, are nominated for Artist of the Year.

With the international spotlight now shining on her, Moozlie will be hoping to bring home the award and continue flying the South African flag high.
