True or not the show has become one of the most successful local productions. And one actress on the show you won’t have to worry about whether they are qualified or not is the new addition, Sibongiseni Shezi. The young actress has graduated from AFDA with a Bachelor of Arts in Live Performance degree.

Wow… I did it. I don’t say that often enough because for some reason it’s sometimes so hard to congratulate myself. I sometimes come across as confident but I’ve always been really hard/tough on myself and virtually everything I’ve ever done has always felt short of something (to me). But this… this is surreal… I’ve accomplished something I once let go of and thought perhaps wasn’t my destiny because I was so lost, broken and confused,” she shared on Instagram.

Wow… I did it. I don’t say that often enough because for some reason it’s sometimes so hard to congratulate myself. I sometimes come across as confident but I’ve always been really hard/tough on myself and virtually everything I’ve ever done has always felt short of something (to me). But this… this is surreal… I’ve accomplished something I once let go of and thought perhaps wasn’t my destiny because I was so lost, broken and confused. Life can never prepare you for the trials you may face and the young matriculant who was once riddled with vivid dreams and what seemed to be an inextinguishable fire somehow lost that ember that kept the flame alive… But no matter what I had begun to tell myself, the journey was clearly not over. It was but a mere chapter in the book of ‘Seni’. I dusted myself off and decided to start again. Hehe… yazi there is few that is as humbling as having to start over long after the time you prescribed for yourself. To learn the invaluable lesson of running your OWN race and trusting that it’s tailor made for your specific Purpose and Destiny. I was resilient. Nothing more than putting my head down and working hard, working damn hard every day to be better than I was the day before… Every day I fought depression, anxiety, self deprecating thoughts of unworthiness and God was like “Nonsense. You ARE worthy by your mere existence” I can now Proudly say I’m an AFDA Graduate. Cum Laude. I was chair of my student representative council and I’m now a working artist… Lord you are Faithful; you are Kind; you are TRUE. I thank each and every monumental relationship I have formed over the years. You changed my Life. I am better because you believed in moments I did not. You held my hand through it all. You pushed me relentlessly. I am thankful for the Loving support of my Family, you guys are the REALEST! Seni, I’m proud of you. You worked hard and EARNED this degree (not as perfectly as you would have liked ? but pretty badass none the less). You changed the game. You killed it Sis and for the first time in a VERY long time, you honestly believe it too, and that’s ok baby, it really is… ?❤️ #Afda #Graduate #CumLaude?
