Anele Zondo Opens Up About Finding Love and Choosing Privacy

TV presenter and music artist Anele Zondo has shared a rare look into her personal life. The star recently appeared on the Engineer Your Life Podcast with Lungelo KM, where she spoke openly about motherhood, love and why she chooses to keep some parts of her life private.

During the interview, Anele explained why she has never revealed the identity of her daughter’s father. She said the decision was made on purpose because she believes not everything about her life should be public.

She said, “It was intentional because that’s a part of my life that I’ve never necessarily been public about. I’ve never actually brought my relationships to the forefront as a public figure. So, I don’t owe anyone to tell them who the father of my child is. As much as I am a public figure, there’s still parts of my life that are very private and sacred.”

Anele said that becoming a public figure does not mean she has to share every detail of her personal life. She believes some moments should remain private and protected, no matter how famous she is.

The star also admitted that she sometimes struggles with deciding how much of her daughter to share on social media. She said people always have something to say, which makes it difficult to know what is best.

Anele is the mother of a two-year-old daughter, Mào, and has often shared that motherhood has changed her life in many positive ways.

The conversation also turned to her love life. Lungelo asked Anele about the viral photos she shared with rapper and podcaster L-Tido during the Hollywoodbets Durban July 2026. The pictures quickly got people talking online, with many wondering if the two were officially a couple.

Speaking about the pictures, Anele said, “Wow, that picture broke the internet. We posted a picture together. It was kind of saying something, something that we probably been wanting to say forever. We’ve been putting in the work and getting to know each other, doing the actual relationship work.”

She also shared what she admires most about L-Tido.

“You see his faith in the way he treats me and the way he treats people around him. There’s so much I can say about this guy.”

Anele explained that one of the things she loves most about her partner is his strong faith in God. She said they pray together during difficult times, and that has strengthened their relationship.

She added, “Let me tell you something about this man. He came to my life in a moment where I felt like love, argg no. He changed my way of thinking. He came in and definitely soften me. It was the softness he brought to me by knowing that I’m not alone.”

The interview gave fans a chance to see a different side of Anele Zondo. While she remains protective of her private life, she also shared how love, faith and motherhood have helped shape the woman she is today.
