Singer Thabsie is calling on her fans to support her after receiving two nominations at the 2026 Basadi in Music Awards.
The talented singer has been nominated for Best Styled Artist of the Year and Collaboration of the Year for her hit song Kusazokhanya with DJ Zinhle. With voting coming to an end soon, Thabsie is hoping her supporters will help her bring home the awards.
She shared the exciting news on social media and encouraged her fans to vote.
“My loves! I’ve been nominated for 2 @basadiinmusicawards_sa awards! We only have a few more days left to vote. I’d really appreciate your support!”
Voting for the Basadi in Music Awards closes on 18 July 2026, giving fans only a few days left to cast their votes.
Thabsie’s nomination for Best Styled Artist of the Year celebrates her unique sense of style, which has impressed many people in the music industry.
The Basadi in Music Awards described the singer by saying:

In a recent interview with TRUE LOVE Magazine, Thabsie shared how her passion for fashion started long before she became a well-known singer.
“I’ve always been obsessed with fashion. I remember I used to look forward to going to lectures just so I could walk through campus all dressed up. My fashion journey has definitely elevated since Songs About You, and I’ve truly found my personal style, which can’t really be boxed into one category – but I think I’m definitely a mood dresser, I get dressed according to how I feel or according to how I want to feel.
“To be honest, I feel like not much has changed about the way I like to present myself – I’ve always been confident even in my small frame, and that’s something I’m grateful for.”
The singer said her style reflects both her personality and her emotions. She believes fashion is a way to express herself and has helped her become even more confident.
She also explained how fashion helped her deal with being teased when she was younger.
“I’m an extremely petite person, and growing up, I always used to get teased for being so tiny. So, for me, fashion and getting dressed up became a way to protect myself and to exude a confidence that I didn’t always have.
“I love wearing silhouettes that highlight my petite frame, but I also love the fact that there’s very little that I can’t wear – or at least I’ve convinced myself of that. Also, my greatest hack [for always looking good in whatever you wear is to get everything tailored.”
As voting continues, Thabsie is hoping her fans will stand behind her and help her win both awards at this year’s Basadi in Music Awards.
