DJ Zinhle and Murdah Bongz Build Their Dream Retirement Home

Award-winning DJ and entrepreneur DJ Zinhle and her husband, Murdah Bongz, are celebrating a special milestone as they begin building their retirement home.

The popular star shared the exciting news with her Instagram followers by posting a short video from the construction site. She simply captioned the post, “Building our retirement home.”

The video shows DJ Zinhle, whose real name is Zinhle Jiyane, and her husband, Mörda, born Bongani Mohosana, visiting the site where their future home is taking shape. The concrete foundation has already been laid, showing that construction is well underway. The couple looked happy as they marked this important step together.

Many fans and famous friends congratulated the couple on their exciting journey.

The musician will release his latest project, Asante IV, on 31 July 2026. The album is the newest chapter in his popular solo album series.

His Asante music series is deeply personal. Named after his daughter, the albums reflect his journey as a father and his personal growth. The music combines Afro-house with soulful sounds that connect with everyday life.

DJ Zinhle and Bongani “Murdah Bongz” Mohosana have been married for a little over four years. They tied the knot in a private traditional ceremony, known as lobola, in March 2022. The couple later confirmed their marriage publicly in August that year.

Together they are raising their daughter, Asante Mohosana, who was born in 2021. DJ Zinhle is also the mother of Kairo Owethu Forbes, who was born in 2015. Kairo is her daughter with the late South African rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.

As they continue building a beautiful family life, the couple is also creating a place where they hope to enjoy their future together. With construction already in progress, their retirement home marks another exciting chapter in their journey.
