Manaka Ranaka is mourning the heartbreaking loss of her daughter, Katlego “KG” Ranaka, who tragically passed away on January 23. The unexpected death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment world.
In a statement, the Ranaka family confirmed Katlego’s passing and asked for privacy during this incredibly difficult time. “It is with heavy hearts that we share the sorrowful news of the passing of our cherished Katlego ‘KG’ Ranaka on January 23. The Ranaka family humbly requests your prayers and respect for their privacy during this profoundly challenging time. Further details regarding her farewell will be communicated in due course,” the family said.
Today, Manaka Ranaka shared the details for her daughter’s memorial and funeral services. The memorial will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at San Salvador Catholic Church, Leondale. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, also at the same church. Katlego will be laid to rest at South Park Cemetery.
In her Instagram post, Manaka shared a beautiful photo of Katlego wearing a flowing green and blue dress, captioning it: “In honor of Katlego’s wishes and in celebration of her life, the family requests that the attendees observe the black and baby blue theme.”
Manaka also mentioned a special candlelight ceremony on Friday evening, January 29, at their home in Leondale (229 Klipspringer Avenue). “Please bring your own candle,” she requested.
