1Magic’s The River Shuts Down Production Again! Here’s Why. Exactly a month after returning to the screen after shutting down in response to the lockdown rules, The River has shut down production again.

This comes after a crew member on the set of the popular show tested positive for Covid-19. In a statement released by the production company, they are shutting down to offer empathy and support to the colleague who tested positive.

All cast and crew have been asked to self-isolate while necessary health protocols are being implemented.

“Ever since we resumed production on 1 May 2020, all the necessary lockdown health guidelines were implemented on set. After we received the news of the colleague testing positive, we immediately asked the cast and crew that came in contact with the member to go into self isolation. They will soon avail themselves to health authorities for testing, in-line with government directives,” Tshedza Pictures’ Phathu Makwarela said in a statement.
