Actress Manaka Ranaka continues to mourn the loss of her daughter, Katlego Ranaka, who passed away on January 23, 2025. The grieving mother recently shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, posting a video of Katlego singing. She captioned the post with an emotional message:

“Our Angelic DIAMOND shining bright for us!!! Thank you for the memories, my Big Girl. It’s slowly getting better, but we miss you terribly still, and I don’t think that’s ever gonna change. You left big shoes to fill. We will always love you. We will never forget you.”

After the news of Katlego Ranaka’s passing, her sister Thandokuhle shared a touching tribute on Instagram. She posted a video of Katlego and wrote:

“My angel, my first love, my soul sista. I never thought this day would come so soon. My heart is broken, and you have left me with a wound I don’t know how to heal. Until I find the words, till we meet again, I will love you forever.”

The Ranaka family confirmed Katlego’s passing in an official statement and asked for privacy during their time of grief.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the sorrowful news of the passing of our cherished Katlego ‘KG’ Ranaka on January 23. The Ranaka family humbly requests your prayers and respect for their privacy during this profoundly challenging time. Further details regarding her farewell will be communicated in due course.”

Katlego was laid to rest on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Her funeral took place at the San Salvador Catholic Church in Leondale, Ekurhuleni, and she was buried at South Park Cemetery in Germiston, Ekurhuleni.
