Tumi Morake Details Her Traumatic Encounter With Police Brutality During Her Pregnancy.Tumi Morake can relate to the injustice of innocent people at the hands of police as she revealed her own experience with the law on twitter which sounded beyond mortifying.
The protests against police brutality towards black people in the United States and in South Africa have become a trending topic across the world as local celebs have also spoken out against the senseless killings of black people at the hands of the SANDF and police officers.
Simphiwe Dana expressed how the violence occurring today brought back painful memories from the #FeesMustFall protests where many felt helpless being attacked by those meant to protect.
“You feel helpless and your mind can’t register that you’re being attacked by those meant to protect you – for merely peacefully protesting for the right to human dignity. Saw so many students having panic attacks during #FeesMustFall. I myself couldn’t get out of bed for a month” she said
Comedian Tumi Morake responded to the singer’s post detailing her own encounter with the Police while 7 months pregnant when she had seven rifles pointed at her in Cape Town.
The recent reports of police brutality that have been occurring have now made Tumi wonder if she should be grateful she wasn’t hurt or outraged that they didn’t escalate the matter.
Many other famous people have spoken out against the injustices black people have suffered at the hands of those tasked to protect civilians.
