This Is The Amount That Bujy Bikwa Had To Pay For His Bail. Radio and TV Personality Bujy Bikwa spent the weekend in jail after assaulting Boity last week Thursday. The former Metro FM radio host was arrested following the incident and scheduled to appear at the Midrand Magistrates Court the following day. Boity laid a case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm at the Midrand police against Bujy after allegedly hitting her with a bottle in the face.
After informing the court that he could not afford to pay a higher bail amount as he was a freelancer who only earned around R10 000 to R13 000 a month, Bikwa’s was released on R2,000 bail.
The Cula Sibone presenter was also given strict orders to follow which include staying away from Boity and not contact any of the witnesses who were present on the night.
According to reports, Boity and Bujy were both in attendance at an event for a major tech company when an argument broke out between the two, resulting in Bikwa throwing a liquor bottle at the rapper during the argument. According to reports, the court was allegedly informed that Thulo sustained open wounds to her eye and lips.
Following the brawl, Boity took to her Instagram account where she released a statement confirming the incident and asked for space to deal with the traumatic experience.
“It is with deep sadness to state that I was indeed an unfortunate victim of a vicious assault and that I have since opened a case against the culprit, which I am following with keen interest,”
“I do not wish to comment on this matter any further. I respectfully request some space as I try to find a way to heal both physically and emotionally from this traumatic experience” Thulo wrote.
