The South African Fashion Week Cruz Launch Party took place on 22 April 2025, kicking off the highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2025 showcase in style. The event was held in Johannesburg, ahead of the main SA Fashion Week shows happening from 24 to 26 April at The Forum in Hyde Park.
The venue will soon be transformed into a dazzling runway where both new and well-known designers will show off their latest collections. This year’s theme, Quiet Luxury, promises elegance, simplicity, and high-end fashion.
“SA Fashion Week is a business development platform – we unearth, we mentor and support designers and help them to generate money so that they contribute to the GDP of the country,” explained Lucilla Booyzen, founder of SA Fashion Week.
She added, “We grow the South African fashion designers from the bottom up… We champion storytelling which is just so incredible.”
