One of Showmax’s top 10 most streamed titles in 2024, The Real Housewives of Durban, is back with an exciting preview of its highly anticipated fifth season.
In the first-look clip, returning star Nonku Williams shares a powerful moment as she prays for guidance, hinting at the emotional rollercoaster ahead. “God is a God of second chances. I’ve messed up in the past, but God always has His arms open,” she says, setting the tone for what’s to come.
Nonku will be joined by three other familiar faces this season: Sorisha Naidoo, Jojo Robinson, and Angel Ndledla. Sorisha and Nonku remain Africa’s longest-serving Housewives, and Jojo and Angel both return to bring their unique energy to the group. New cast members are expected to be revealed soon, adding more intrigue to the drama.
Season 4 ended with intense tension when Sorisha stormed off the reunion set, vowing never to speak to Jojo or Nonku again. The Housewives divided into two opposing camps, with Sorisha, Angel, Slee Ndlovu, and Ameigh Thompson on one side, and Nonku, Jojo, Maria Valaskatzis, and Zama Ngcobo on the other.
Sam Kelly, executive producer at Let it Rain Films, promises that Season 5 will offer a fresh vibe. “The cast dynamics have shifted in unexpected ways, offering a new look, feel, and energy that will keep you hooked from start to finish,” says Kelly. “This season is set to deliver high-stakes clashes, opulent lifestyles, personal growth, and shocking twists. Friendships will be forged in the fire, while others will crack under pressure.”
