The Fergusons Break Silence On Dineo Langa’s Alleged Firing! The Fergusons have been the centre of attention for all the wrong reason as twitter called for them to be boycotted using the #FergusonsMustFall which quickly caught wind on social media.
This came after it was reported that Dineo Langa who plays the character of Kea on the Mzansi Magic hit TV show, The Queen produced by The Fergusons had been axed from the show because she had asked for a leave to shoot on another production.
Now The Fergusons are firing back defending themselves. According to the couple, Dineo had asked for time off of the show to go and pursue other projects which was impossible as she is one of the leading characters and the scripts had already been written.
According IOL, the show runner Laura Nell denies claims that Dineo Langa was fired.
“Dineo’s contract was not terminated. She is still on payroll until the end of May. Dineo was released to go and shoot her movie. Scripts had to be rewritten to accommodate this as she was on an ‘A’ storyline. She was scheduled to return in April, but due to the lockdown, everything has changed,” Nell said.
Tweeps were quick to associate the Fergusons alleged mistreatment of former employees including Rami Chuene who also has confirmed the claims.
Another actress whose role is also being questioned is Zenande Mfenyane who was reported that she had been allegedly fired for getting pregnant. Mfenyane however denied the rumours and Mzansi Magic supported her claims. “Please note that Zenande Mfenyana is not leaving The Queen and has not been written off the storyline.”
