Celebrities like Sophie Ndaba shocked fans when she revealed her weightless after a long hiatus away from the entertainment industry.

Followers were very worried about the actress until she finally disclosed that she has been struggling with a chronic illness that has become one of the leading causes of death in the adult population. Other celeb favourites have also disclosed their battles on social media and magazine interviews.

Here are some of the SA celebs who have openly disclosed their illnesses with the public.

Sophie Lichaba

Sophie has returned to the spotlight having lost a lot of weight, which led to her revealing that she has been living with Diabetes.

Connie Ferguson

Connie Ferguson revealed that she is living with chronic depression in an interview with Glamour magazine.

Masasa Mbangeni

Masasa Mbangeni noticeably gained weight which led to the masses spreading pregnancy rumours . She then addressed the rumours revealing that she has been taking Anxiety medication which cause water weight gain.

Masechaba Moshoeshoe

Masechaba had the world shook when she appeared on tv episode having dramatically lost weight. She has since revealed that she has been diagnosed with Hypertension.

Mshoza

Mshoza recently lost her life due to complications with Diabetes which led to the musicians short stay at the hospital before her death.
