Weeks after revealing her pregnancy, actress Rosemary Zimu has shared a beautiful look into her baby shower celebration, giving fans an intimate glimpse of her exciting new chapter. The actress, who is expecting her first child, posted pictures from the special occasion, where she radiated in a white gown that highlighted her baby bump.

Since the start of the year, Rosemary has been wearing a ring on her finger, leading fans to speculate if she had tied the knot or was in a relationship. She confirmed her engagement, revealing that her longtime partner had proposed. Rosemary has expressed how grateful she is for her fiancé’s unwavering support throughout her pregnancy, which has made the experience even more special.
In an interview with UpClose, Rosemary opened up about her five-year relationship with her fiancé. Despite her profession as an actress, which sometimes requires her to perform intimate scenes on-screen, Rosemary feels fortunate to have a partner who truly understands her work.
“You need to have an understanding partner. You need to also understand it’s not you. I will never shoot an intimate scene without an intimacy coach,” she explained.
Speaking with Batswadi about her pregnancy, Rosemary shared how her upbringing has influenced her perspective on community. Raised by a strong, supportive community, she deeply values the presence of her fiancé throughout this journey and is eager to provide the same sense of support for her child.
“I don’t just want a community; I need a community for my child. But I also need them to know that it’s okay to disagree with how elders see the world—it’s okay to carve your own path, as long as it’s anchored in respect,” she said.
Rosemary’s eyes lit up as she spoke about the care and support her fiancé has shown throughout her pregnancy. “He’s made this whole journey so pleasant. It’s the little things—when I wake up feeling too heavy to get up, he’ll massage my feet, help me up, or make breakfast. He makes sure I’m not doing any strenuous activities. Those little things mean everything,” she said, emphasising how much his actions mean to her.
Reflecting on their relationship, Rosemary added that, while they have their differences, one common ground they share is their faith in God. “We are very different people, but our common ground is to never lose God. I’d like to think I’m the funnier parent,” she said, laughing. “But I have no doubt he’ll be the fun parent.”
As Rosemary embraces motherhood, she remains determined to stay true to herself. “I am so intentional about not letting motherhood change me too much. The essence of who I am, my dreams, my goals. Motherhood might be a new chapter, but it doesn’t mean losing myself—it’s about evolving while staying true to who I am,” she shared.
