Reality TV star from The Mommy Club, Ratile Mabitsela, celebrated her birthday on Saturday, 29 November 2025. The star marked the occasion with a heartfelt message to herself, reflecting on a year full of lessons, challenges, and growth.
She wrote on Instagram, “ThirtyFierce Years of life. What a year… a rollercoaster of lessons, tears, victories, and divine redirection. Through every high and every valley, God showed up – not once, not late, but right on time. Here’s to a heart that survived, a mind that grew stronger, and a spirit that stayed standing. I am grateful. I am wiser. I am becoming. Happy Birthday to me.”
Ratile received an outpouring of love and birthday wishes from her close friends and followers, celebrating her special day with her.
Speaking to True Love, Ratile opened up about her personal journey. “I’m evolving into a woman who no longer apologises for surviving,” she says softly but firmly. “I’m softer in spirit, but stronger in boundaries. Life has stripped me bare and, in doing so, revealed parts of myself I never knew existed.”
She reflects on her time in reality TV, admitting it exposed her to experiences she wasn’t ready to share publicly. “Reality TV exposed parts of my life I wasn’t ready to unpack publicly,” she explains. “But it also helped me confront the illusions I held about image, control, and validation. I learnt that being seen doesn’t always mean being understood – and that’s okay.”
Life after the cameras has been a relief. “It felt like finally taking off a heavy garment I had worn for too long. Life post-camera has been quieter, but more meaningful. I’ve reconnected with my own voice without the noise,” Ratile says.
As a mother of three, she recognises the importance of healing for the next generation. “My children are my compass. They remind me of what unconditional love looks like,” she says. “Motherhood forced me to confront my pain, so I don’t pass it down. I want them to see a mom who didn’t give up on herself, even when it was hard.”
Ratile credits her grounding to faith, family, and self-awareness. “Faith, my children, and my ‘why.’ I don’t have to be everything for everyone – I just need to be honest with myself,” she shares. “I pause, breathe, pray, journal, and protect my peace. Growth comes in seasons. I’m finally learning to embrace each one.”
On what “redefining me on my terms” means, she says confidently, “It means permitting myself to evolve without guilt. I’m not just a mom, a widow, a coach, or a public figure; I’m a full, multidimensional woman. I own every chapter, even the messy ones.”
