South African entrepreneur and media personality Rachel Kolisi is preparing to share her story with the world through a deeply personal memoir titled Falling Forward. The book is set to be released in March 2026 and promises to give readers an intimate look into the moments that have shaped one of South Africa’s most admired women.

Rachel made the announcement on Instagram, where she revealed that the memoir was written in collaboration with Zibu Sithole. In her post, she shared, “We are incredibly proud to announce the upcoming publication of Falling Forward, the deeply personal memoir by @rachelkolisi, written in collaboration with Zibu Sithole.” The memoir will be released alongside the highly anticipated Falling Forward documentary, giving fans a chance to experience her story both on screen and on the page.

According to the announcement, the book will allow readers to go deeper than the documentary. Rachel explained this beautifully in her own words, saying, “There are stories you can tell on camera, and then there are the truths that need the quiet space of a page to be fully understood.” Through Falling Forward, she opens up about breaking, healing, and rebuilding, reminding readers that falling is not failure, but often the beginning of growth.

The memoir is described as “a candid journey through breaking and rebuilding, proving that falling isn’t the end – it’s often how we find our way.” Early copies of the book will be available exclusively at the Falling Forward National Roadshow in Makhanda on 4 March and Gqeberha on 5 March, with tickets available via Webtickets. The national release will follow in bookstores and online from mid-March 2026.

Back in December 2025, Rachel shared an emotional message when announcing the launch of Falling Forward. She wrote, “Today we launch Falling Forward, a story of honesty, resilience, and the beauty of becoming. I have poured my heart into this journey, in the hopes that women everywhere can feel seen, heard, and connected. A movement begins today.” Her words highlighted how personal this project is and how deeply she hopes it will resonate with women.

She also described the project as “the official preview of Falling Forward, a deeply personal documentary that traces the themes that have shaped her life: identity, loss, healing, motherhood, courage, and the quiet but determined process of rebuilding.”

At its heart, Falling Forward is Rachel’s story, told with honesty and vulnerability. As one statement explains, “At its core, this documentary is Rachel’s story, honest, vulnerable, and deeply human.”
