Actress, TV and radio presenter Pearl Modiadie recently took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as she celebrated her time on the SABC1 music talk show Zaziwa. In one post, Pearl shared a picture of herself with A-Reece and other celebrities she interviewed over the years. She wrote, “A-Reece fans are real super supporters. I saw your requests in the comments for me to post him. He wasn’t in the 2016 post because I interviewed him in 2017, so I think it’s best that I also post some of our faves that I got an opportunity to sit down with as well over the years. Not a 2016 throwback, but some wonderful memories to swipe through. Also, I’ve read all your comments and… All love and appreciation from me, gibonga uthando Iwenu.”

In another post, she shared a dose of Zaziwa nostalgia from 2016, explaining the unique space the show created. “Here’s a bit of 2016 Zaziwa nostalgia. We created this beautiful space where our media personalities showed up as their truest selves. We laughed, reflected and connected in ways that went beyond the surface. Some of the faces are no longer with us, but their impact lives on. Forever grateful for this season in my life,” she wrote.

Fans and celebrities alike flooded the comments with love for the show. Instagram user thislove_k shared, “This show is forever inspiring. As a young professional in the entertainment media space, it certainly left a mark on me.” Model and author Refilwe Modiselle added, “What a time @pearlmodiadie !!!! Slide 14 — my episode was the most viewed at 4.5 million viewers! I broke the record with that interview when it aired, which made Zaziwa the no.1 non-soap show in SA … insane!”

Another fan, abigail_mogale, wrote, “I loved this show with my entire being!! You did great here, sis. And your guests? Yho sana, I was always inspired.”
