Actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo is celebrating a special milestone as she turns 32, while also preparing for a major moment in her music career. The star’s first EP, AVANA, is set to be released on Friday, 23 January 2026, making this birthday even more meaningful for her.
Thuli took to her Instagram to celebrate herself on her big day. She shared a joyful message that reflected both gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead. She wrote, “The soul of AVANA… SANA, THE BIRTHDAY GIRL! So grateful for everything, I’m bevond blessed!” The post showed how proud she is of her journey so far and how thankful she feels as she steps into a new year of life.
On 21 January 2026, Thuli also used social media to thank everyone who has supported her music journey. She made it clear that every bit of love and support has meant a lot to her. In her heartfelt message, she said, “…..before I proceed with the rest of the rollout, I would like to just say THANK YOU to everyone who supported my first offering ‘HAI SUKA’ in any form, big or small. I truly appreciate it!”
Thuli also opened up about the deeper meaning behind her debut single, HAI SUKA, and the message she hopes it carries. According to her, the song is all about strength, confidence, and self-belief. She explained, “HAI SUKA speaks to women who empower themselves, create their own paths and stand confidently in their independence. It’s about embracing your power without comparison, trusting your journey and taking pride in the woman you are building.”
HAI SUKA is one of the songs from her six-track EP. The single was released on 31 October 2025 and marked the beginning of a brand-new chapter for Thuli. She also revealed that she has taken a big step by starting her own record label. She shared, “Recently, I founded AVANA Records, a home for my music journey and the future voices I hope to champion. My first EP, AVANA, is a celebration of this new chapter.”
More recently, Thuli gave fans insight into another song from the EP titled MOLO. Speaking about the track, she described it as a pure and emotional love story. She said, “MOLO is a love story about two people who meet with pure intentions and open hearts. It captures the excitement of finding a love that feels honest, gentle and certain. A promise to protect the feeling, to grow together and to believe in a future that begins with “hello” and quietly points toward forever.”
