After making the discovery that DJ Sbu’s Mofaya is not SABS approved and that he used the SABS stamp on his energy drink ‘illegally’ DJ Sbu has basically been nicknamed “DJ MoLies Sbu”.
Sbu took to his Instagram page this morning to announce that the production on his energy drink will currently be put on hold until the incident has been dealt with accordingly.
Sbu also took the time to address the haters that have been against his product and expresses that MoFaya is apparently the fastest growing beverage brand in Africa and that by celebrating the production halt 33 entrepreneurs are out of work.
In his caption DJ Sbu says: “We have currently put all MoFaya production schedules on hold until the matter has been resolved. An official statement will then follow from our CEO Mr Simphiwe Magubane ( @zulu_billionz ) on how we proceed as a young South African start up company that is making serious strides in the FMCG sector(refer to article on forbes.com)“
“We remain the fastest growing Beverage Brand in Africa and all that wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for your support. We thank you for standing behind MoFaya through this entire learning curve for all of us.”
DJ Sbu then concludes his statement by saying “Thank you for making us the current most talked about energy drink brand in SA with R00.00 budget. Black child its possible.”
Like we said before any publicity is good publicity for DJ Sbu even if it’s bad publicity.
