Pearl Thusi Gets Into Trouble For Her Trevor Noah Remark!

We guess when it comes to filters, Pearl Thusi has no filter but that’s what social media is for, right? Saying what you want to, when you want to.

But sometimes you need to choose your words wisely and check who they’re directed to.

Like many other celebrities Pearl took took to social media to congratulate Trevor Noah on his opportunity to host The Daily Show.

Now what got to a lot of fans about Pearl’s post was a little disclaimer she decided to add to her caption before she actually congratulated the successful comedian.

Mama Pantha started off her Instagram post with: “Ladies and gents… a guy I don’t really like but am unbelievably proud of. ”

Even we couldn’t read the rest of the post.

The comments section was filled with a lot of questions as to why the TV personality had to disclose her dislike for Trevor Noah in her ‘congratulatory’ post to him, with others pointing out that it was quite unnecessary of her.

The conversation didn’t just end on Instagram, Trevor fans ended up calling into Redi Tlhabi’s show on Talk Radio 702 to touch on the issue and express their opinions with one saying that Pearl’s comments border on hate speech.

Like always Redi added her 2 cents saying that people just might have reacted too sensitively to the situation but, agrees that it was irrelevant for Pearl to point out that she doesn’t like Trevor.
