South African actress and entrepreneur Ntando Rambani has opened up about the unexpected love story that led her to musician Una Rams, revealing how what started with a simple Instagram interaction eventually blossomed into marriage.
Rambani sat down with singer Nandi Madida on The Motherhood Network Podcast, where she spoke candidly about meeting her husband and the intentional way he pursued her from the very beginning.
The couple’s story began in Venda, where Rambani had been booked for a show. Two days after her performance, Una Rams followed her on Instagram and posted pictures that the two had taken together on the day. From there, he made his move and slid into her DMs.
According to Rambani, Una was persistent and made it clear that he was interested.
“He didn’t give up. He consistently sent those messages.”
Their first meet-up was far from the traditional romantic setting. The two met at a garage station, but Una still managed to make the moment memorable.
“Her brought me flowers and cake. From them he left for Ghana and the rest is history.”
For Rambani, the consistency and intentionality she experienced from Una stood out. She described him as someone who knew what he wanted and was deliberate about building a relationship with her.
Ntando Rambani said that Una Rams was intentional from the beginning.
“He is incredible. There is no words that explains the kind of man he is, the kind of person he is, the kind of husband and father he is. God saw me.”
Rambani married musician Una Rams (Unarine Rambani) in late 2024, followed by public announcements and white wedding celebrations shared in June 2025. She met her husband in 2023.
Interestingly, marriage was never something Rambani had mapped out for herself. She admitted that she never imagined she would one day become someone’s wife, making the eventual turn in her life all the more meaningful.
“I also never thought I’d get married one day, never ever. When it came, it felt so right. This man said he wants to marry.”
That certainty became even clearer as their relationship developed. Rambani reflected on the popular saying that “when you know, you know”, saying that she finally understood what it meant after meeting Una.
“I’ve always heard people say ‘when you know, you know’ and I get it now. I also knew that he was the right partner for me. God said that I’m going to give you the most amazing man. A man that you’ve never experienced in your existence. I’ve never met a man like him.”
While many public figures often keep the intimate details of their marriages private, Rambani offered a rare glimpse into what life with Una is really like behind the scenes.
She described her marriage as peaceful, fulfilling and beautiful, revealing that she had never previously expressed these feelings publicly.
“It is so peaceful, it is so content and it is so beautiful. I’ve never spoken about how i genuinely feel in the marriage, I’ve never said this to anyone. But it’s so crazy how the next person can see that.
Having a partner that supports every little single thing that you want to do is amazing. It’s so easy to love someone like that, it’s so easy to support and protect and be there for someone like that because he’s such a great human.”
For Rambani, her relationship with Una appears to be rooted not only in love, but also in friendship, support and a shared sense of purpose. What began with a show in Venda, a few Instagram messages and an unexpected meeting at a garage station has since grown into a marriage she describes as deeply peaceful and beautiful.
