Reality TV star Nozipho Ntshangase from The Mommy Club has opened up to fans about her recovery journey following surgery. In a candid update on Instagram Stories, she confirmed exactly what she had done, saying: “To those who said tummy tuck & liposuction. You are correct.”

Nozipho recently shared her 10-day post-operation progress, sounding both relieved and optimistic.

“DAY 10 POST OP UPDATE. Drains are finally out!!! I’m a free woman. I was able to fly home with no hassles. I was nervous a bit but I was pretty fine. I’m still supposed to take things slowly and rest. Otherwise, I’m healing nicely. I’m taking less and less pain meds every day. I’m also starting lymphatic massages this week.”

Lymphatic massage, also called manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), is a gentle massage technique designed to help the body’s lymphatic system drain excess fluid and remove waste products. It is often recommended after procedures like liposuction to help reduce swelling and speed up recovery.

This surgery is part of a deeply personal self-love journey for Nozipho. A week before her operation, she explained her reasons for taking this step.

“I’ve been on this self-love journey, and I think after having my last three kids and just going through things in general, I just struggled with loving myself and my confidence just went down the drain.”

Nozipho is a proud mom of five, including a set of twins, but she admitted that her body went through major changes over the years.

“I’ve had four pregnancies which resulted in five kids… and so I gained weight and just wasn’t exercising as often as I would’ve wanted. There’s just been a whole lot of insecurities,” she shared.

By choosing to have the surgery, Nozipho says she is reclaiming her confidence and making choices that make her feel good in her own skin. Her openness has been praised by fans who appreciate her honesty about the challenges of body changes after motherhood.

Now, 10 days after surgery, she is taking things one step at a time — resting, healing, and slowly getting back to her daily life with renewed energy.
