Singer Nomcebo Zikode has caused a stir on social media after posting photos of herself with a brand-new Bentley parked outside her home. The singer shared the images on Instagram with the caption, “Living the life I once prayed for.”
On TikTok, she followed up with a video showing herself driving the luxury car and giving fans a glimpse of her beautiful home. She captioned the video, “Sundays are for soft living.”

Fans and fellow celebrities filled the comments with congratulations, celebrating her success. However, not everyone reacted positively. Some people questioned the timing of the purchase, especially after Nomcebo recently lost a court case involving unpaid royalties for the hit song Jerusalema.
One user, @itss_me190, commented, “Seziphumile izimali ze Jerusalema,” implying the car may be linked to money from the famous song. Another user, @officialtwinny, wrote, “Wasn’t she paying lawyers 2 million a month ago,” referring to the legal costs from her recent case.
Other users were more cautious in their reactions. @TomKhosa said, “I’m giving a cautious congratulations! I hope that Nomcebo starts saving for her future or dry period. We must not see her in the streets asking for support!” Another comment from @BhovuRbay added, “A beautiful car, congratulations to her. Hope she is saving some of her money for rainy days. We don’t have money for donations anymore.”
Just a few months ago, Nomcebo and her record label, Emazulwini Productions, released a statement after losing the court case against Open Mic Productions. They claimed she still had not received any money for her work on Jerusalema and that she would continue to fight for her rights.
“A song that once gave the world hope has, in turn, broken me. I have still not received a single cent, and I am still fighting for my rights,” the statement read. “But I will keep on fighting through this pain and exhaustion because we cannot continue excusing the exploitation of artists in this beautiful country. Aluta Continua.”
Despite the challenges, Nomcebo remains in high demand and continues to perform worldwide. Most recently, she had her first-ever show in Gabon, performing at Terminus in Mouila.
“What an honour and privilege it has been to be welcomed by the Embassy in Gabon! I have seen and learnt so much over the past few days. I am so grateful to have experienced it all,” she shared on Instagram.
