South African actress, presenter and media personality Minnie Dlamini has warmed hearts on social media with a touching birthday message to her father.
Taking to Instagram, Minnie shared a sweet collage of pictures showing her and her dad smiling and laughing over the years. She wrote a heartfelt message to celebrate his 69th birthday, calling him her “first and forever love.”
“Happy Birthday Daddy,” she wrote. “To my first and forever love. Next year we’re having a MASSIVE PARTY for the big 70. I’ve never met anyone who loves getting older than my dad. For the record he’s already in his 70th year according to him.”
Minnie’s message was full of love and humour, showing just how close the two are. Her fans flooded the comment section with birthday wishes and compliments, calling their father-daughter bond beautiful and inspiring.
This is not the first time Minnie has shown love for her dad publicly. Just last month on Father’s Day, she posted a touching tribute to him, showing deep respect and admiration.
“Happy Father’s Day to the greatest dad I could’ve ever asked for,” she shared. “God blessed me with a man who showed me how to stand up and show up for my family, to lead with strength, purpose and love. This man raised us with intention every single day, putting us first no matter what!!!”
She also shared one of the life lessons her father taught her: “Minnie, be better today than you were yesterday, and be better tomorrow than you are today”. She said this is the goal she lives by every day.
Minnie continued, “God blessed me with a father who stands tall by my side and therefore I stand tall in every situation I’m faced with. You not only raised me, but my friends too. I’m thankful you did, especially for my people who did not have their dads in their lives. That’s what makes you beautiful, Timer Lam.”
She ended her message with appreciation for his help in raising her son: “I just want to make you proud every day Mjay and I thank God that you are still with us & I still get to. Lastly thank you for helping me raise my boy, just a tiny sprinkle of the magic you gave me… I know my son will be great.”
