Mbalenhle Mavimbela’s Rumored Exit From The Wife As ‘Hlomu’. If you were to ask most of Showmax’s ‘The Wife’ fans, they’d tell you Hlomu makes the show and without her it wouldn’t be the same. The question however is whether they mean the departure of Mbalenhle as Hlomu or the character being written out of the story line.

According to entertainment reporter Phil Mphela, Mbalenhle is leaving the show she was a lead on for two seasons and made her a household name. He went to reveal that a new ‘Hlomu’ will be cast on the new season. Reasons on why Mbalenhle has left the show are not yet unknown.The reports have not been confirmed by the show, network nor the actress herself.

“No decisions have been made about the final cast list for season three,” executive head of programming at MultiChoice, Nomsa Philiso said to Sunday World.

Meanwhile Mbalenhle herself has remained mum on the rumors. Her last post on Instagram is from earlier this week when she captioned a photo of herself smiling with the caption, “an actor under construction… My plan is simple. Achieving it isn’t easy.”
