Congratulations are pouring in for South African DJ and music producer Junior De Rocka, who has officially taken a big step in his love life. The popular star recently revealed that he has paid lobola for his longtime partner, Kholiswa.
Taking to his social media timeline, Junior shared a video from the traditional lobola ceremony that had fans in awe. The clip shows his uncles arriving at Kholiswa’s home in a luxurious convoy that included high-end cars like a Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. The ceremony was full of tradition, joy, and style.
In the video, Kholiswa can be seen wearing a stunning orange outfit with a white shawl embroidered with the words “Becoming Mrs Mzizi.” Clearly emotional and touched by the occasion, she said, “He kept his promise. I’ve never experienced such love.”
Junior also opened up about what the day meant to him. “It was a special day I will cherish for the rest of my life,” he said. Reflecting on love and the journey ahead, he added:
“I know these days it’s hard to have a beautiful marriage because of how life is set up, kodwa if we both focus on us, mute the noise, put God first and sihloniphe abadala okuyibo abas’gadile kulendlela — I trust and know that we will survive any type of storm, together.”
He also gave a heartfelt thank you to his bride’s family, saying:
“Thank you to umndeni wakwa Dladla for ukusamukela ngothando nomoya wokwakha. My family gained an amazing daughter and always know that your family also gained a son, and the way I’ll treat your daughter will reflect on how much I respect and honour your family name. Kwande!”
Junior De Rocka, whose real name is Mxolisi Mzizi, is no stranger to the spotlight. He shot to fame with his hit song ‘Ufunan’ featuring Kwesta, WTF, and L-Tido. In 2016, at just 24 years old, he won the King of KwaZulu-Natal Award at the SA Hip Hop Awards. His 2021 collaboration with Lady Du on the hit single ‘Catalia’ went 2X Platinum and cemented his place in South African music.
He was once in a highly publicised relationship with actress Ntando Duma, and together they have a daughter named Sibahle Mzizi. Ntando has since moved on with her life and recently tied the knot with musician Una Rams in an intimate, private wedding ceremony.
