A single Instagram post from Jub Jub has sent his followers into celebration mode, but the TV presenter and musician is keeping everyone guessing about the identity of the newborn baby in his arms.
The entertainer, whose real name is Molemo Maarohanye, caught the attention of social media users when he uploaded a photo holding a tiny newborn on Monday, September 7. The unexpected glimpse into what appears to be an intimate family moment immediately sparked questions about whether Jub Jub had quietly welcomed another child.
Adding to the mystery, Jub Jub chose not to explain the photograph. There was no lengthy caption or announcement accompanying the picture. Instead, he posted a red heart emoji along with several hashtags, leaving followers to draw their own conclusions.
Some fans believe the newborn could be a baby girl, particularly because the little one appeared to be wearing clothes featuring cute little red hearts. However, Jub Jub has not publicly confirmed the baby’s gender or revealed whether the child is his.
The comments section quickly filled with messages of excitement and congratulations.
colleen_ladyc commented, “Ncooooh…. Cho! Phezu kwenye I’m so so happy for you hle. You deserve it wena mwethu. For real, you deserve it.”
Phutimathobela also joined the celebrations, writing, “Congratulations to you warra waka. God bless you.”
Jub Jub is already a father to a son, Christian, whom he shares with singer Kelly Khumalo. Despite the speculation surrounding the latest photograph, he has not publicly confirmed whether the newborn is his child.
The mysterious family moment comes as Jub Jub continues to deal with an ongoing legal matter. The entertainer recently appeared before the Germiston Magistrates Court in connection with an incident involving an e-hailing driver in Edenvale on June 14.
He faces two charges: possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence, and pointing of anything likely to cause a person to believe it is a firearm.
During the investigation, law enforcement officials seized a pellet gun from his residence. Gauteng National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Magaboke Mohlatlole previously said the NPA was ready to proceed with the matter.
The latest development in the case is that the matter against Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye has been postponed to September 17, 2026, following his recent appearance at the Germiston Magistrates Court. He remains out on R5,000 bail, which has been extended.
