“It’s About Truly Getting to Know Anele Zondo” – Star Opens Up About Her New Reality Show

Television presenter and musician Anele Zondo is ready to let fans into her world like never before with her brand-new reality show, Anele Zondo: The Glow Up. The show will offer an intimate look at her life as Anele “Ney The Bae” Zondo, giving viewers a front-row seat to her experiences, challenges, and triumphs.

This reality series will take audiences on a deeply personal journey, focusing on her transition into motherhood while balancing a thriving career. Over 13 weeks, the show will explore her music career, business ventures, personal growth, relationships, and family dynamics. More than just entertainment, The Glow Up promises to be a source of inspiration, showing how Zondo turns challenges into stepping stones toward success.

Speaking about what fans can expect, Zondo described the show as a true reflection of who she is beyond the public persona.

“It is a deep dive into my goals, how I go about achieving them, and the pillars that keep me grounded. If I had to formalise it, I would say it is about truly getting to know Anele Zondo. Not just as an artist, but as a mother, daughter, sister, and friend,” she shared.

Zondo also expressed her excitement about letting people see the raw, unfiltered side of her life, which is often hidden behind glamorous social media posts and polished performances.

“It is about understanding my energy as a person and how I navigate the complexities of life. People often see the polished end product—the pretty pictures and the moments on screen. But they rarely see what it actually takes to be in my shoes. This show allows viewers to join me on that journey, as I glow through it,” she explained.

SABC1’s Channel Head, Ofentse Thinane, highlighted the importance of reality shows in connecting South African audiences to their favourite stars.

From Zahara in 2023 to Vusi Nova – Unprovoked in 2024. We welcome back Anele Zondo onto the channel and hope audiences enjoy the journey.”

With an exciting blend of personal and professional revelations, Anele Zondo: The Glow Up is set to captivate fans when it premieres on SABC1. The show will air on Saturdays at 8 PM, starting on April 5, 2025.
