Media personality Liesl Laurie Mthombeni and her husband Musa Mthombeni are serving couple goals once again—this time from the sunny streets of Portugal.

The loved-up pair recently gave fans a glimpse into their romantic getaway, sharing pictures and moments from their trip. From sightseeing around the city to enjoying ice cream and indulging in delicious meals, the couple looked completely in their element while soaking up the Lisbon vibes.

In a joint post, they humorously captured their travel experience, writing,
“POV: Liesl and Emily, sorry I meant Musa in Lisbon, Portugal A short little trip to get our bodies
ready for the cold and treachery that is a South African winter.
Before you judge me for Musa’s outfit choices, I need it to be known that he left for Portugal before me. He packed his own bags and I’m just as shocked when he says “I’m ready to go” as you all are.
With that said, we’re off to the next destination Where to next?”

The Portugal escape comes shortly after the couple celebrated 56 months of marriage, with a major milestone on the horizon—they will be marking five years together in August 2026. Known for their love of travel, fans are already curious about where they will celebrate this special anniversary. Last year, in August 2025, they marked the occasion in Hong Kong, even visiting Hong Kong Disneyland.

The celebrations don’t stop there. Just a week ago, Musa turned 36, and Liesl took to social media to share a heartfelt birthday message. She wrote,
“To my favorite person in the world, happy birthday! I am so incredibly proud of the man you are and the life we’re building together. You truly are my greatest blessing and my safest place to land.
I’m endlessly grateful for you-despite the chaotic Arsenal-induced screaming matches with the TV and the fact that you “borrow” my socks until they’re twice their original size.
It feels so strange being apart for your birthday for the first time in five years. I’m counting down the moments until I can see you so that I can have every restaurant sing those uncomfortably loud birthday songs at our table and bring you a banana split with a sparkler.
