Imbewu Production Shuts Down After Being Hit By The COVID-19 Pandemic! Another day another local soapie being shut down due to a member testing positive for COVID-19.
According to several reports, the KZN production has been closed and the necessary testing for exposed cast and crew members is currently underway.
“In respecting the privacy of our talent, cast and crew’s medical and health matters, we will not be issuing the names of any affected individuals. The health of affected employees will be monitored over time, and filming will resume when it is safe to do so as set out by health authorities,” said channel publicist, Lerato Maboi.

Imbewu shutdown comes only a few days after another soapie on the same channel, Rhythm City also shut down following a cast member testing positive for the virus.
