“His Name Makes Me Cringe” Kelly Khumalo Opens Up About Her Toxic Relationship With Jub Jub. Award winning artist Kelly Khumalo opened up about her relationship with Jub Jub, and what she had to say about him was quite shocking to say the least. According to the singer, the word toxic was a huge understatement of what their relationship actually was.
Khumalo went a little into depth about the horrible experience of her relationship with the Uyajola host, claiming that even today she has no interest in having any sort of relation with him.
“It was bad, hence even no, i have no desire to see the guy. Even hearing his name makes me cringe” Kelly said.
According to Kelly, she was introduced to drugs by Jub Jub because of the company and environment that she was subjected to. Once she broke away from the toxicity that was her baby daddy , she began going back to the kind of person she was raised to be.
The award winning vocalist delved into detail how one tends to lose their sense of individuality, in order to accommodate the new relationship that they are in. Khumalo explains that it’s not just something that she does but rather a trait that tends to happen to everyone once they enter a new relationship.
Kelly shared that she was 2 years old when she got involved with the rapper and didn’t understand that she needed to give herself the love that she expected from her then partner.
“I was hurt – and I wanted to give a lot of who I am to get the love that I thought I deserved from him. Forgetting that I needed to give myself that kind of love. And I needed to understand what it means to be in a relationship. You need o give this more attention before you can want to be in a relationship with anyone. Or even define, a kind of love and relationship that you want to be part of.” Kelly said.
Khumalo shared that taking herself out of that environment took a lot of honesty from her because as much as the people around her were bad influences, she also allowed herself to get involved in the bad habits all because she wanted to prove that she is worthy of love.
“I think the desperation of wanting this man to love me the way that I feel I deserve to be loved pushed me to the edge of wanting to now to doing anything I could at that particular time.” Khumalo said..
