Gogo Maweni and Husband Welcome Twin Babies

Well-known sangoma and reality TV star Gogo Maweni has just welcomed two beautiful new babies into the world. The star, whose real name is Makhotso Lee-Anne Mofokeng, and her husband Sabelo Mgube are celebrating the arrival of their twins.

The couple shared their joyful news on Instagram, posting sweet pictures from the hospital. One photo shows the newborn twins in the hospital room, and another shows Sabelo proudly holding them in his arms. In the caption, they wrote: “Ten days ago, our love as well as our bond got a whole lot stronger.”

The babies were born ten days ago, but the couple chose to enjoy the moment privately before sharing the news with their fans.

Gogo Maweni already has three children from previous relationships. Her first child is with an American man, her second son is with actor Sthembiso Khoza, and her third child is with former football player Siyabonga Zulu. Now, her family has grown even bigger with the addition of her twins.

Although this is a happy time for the star, Gogo Maweni is still dealing with a court case. She is facing a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The case comes from an alleged incident that took place on December 18, 2019.

Her lawyers recently explained in court that she had been struggling with a complicated pregnancy and was often in and out of hospital. Because of this, her doctors advised her to rest and avoid traveling. The court has postponed the case to October 15 to allow her time to fully recover from childbirth.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Gogo Maweni opened up about her journey and why she had wanted to keep her pregnancy private.

She said, “I feel great because, honestly, I wanted to keep the pregnancy a secret, but unfortunately I got arrested and it came out that I was pregnant. I wasn’t going to tell anyone until the babies were born and I know people were going to end up thinking that it’s a surrogacy and whatever, which is fine. But at least now I can continue and make sure they come to this beautiful earth healthy, so I’m very grateful.”
