After a brief hiatus, South African rapper Gigi Lamayne is back in the spotlight, ready to reclaim her place in the music scene. Speaking to DRUM Magazine, Gigi revealed her exciting plans, both in music and business.
“I’m currently in a rebirth,” Gigi shared. Her latest single, Come Outside, marks her comeback and gives fans a taste of her upcoming project, featuring fresh talent from the hip-hop world. The single confronts the challenges she has faced in the industry. “The song is simply saying come outside in your true form. Don’t hide behind anything,” she explained.
Despite her love for music, Gigi has also been busy as an entrepreneur. Her IV Vitamin and Therapy Lounge in Sandton, which opened in December 2023, has been thriving. “It’s been going amazing. I’ve always said I want to do it before 30, and that’s exactly what I did,” she said proudly.
Beyond music and her lounge, Gigi is involved in multiple ventures, including working with Uber, owning a shoe brand, and podcasting. She sees this as part of her evolution, saying, “Now is the time we should be reinvesting into our brands and who we are.”
Fans can also look forward to Gigi’s European tour in the summer of 2025, where she will bring her new music and energy to the international stage. “We are preparing for an amazing tour into Europe,” she teased, hinting at exciting collaborations.
