AKA confirms his long-awaited, “Mass Country” release date for 27th January 2023.
Fast-rising South African megastar Kiernan Forbes, popularly known by his stage name AKA has finally come forth to clear the air, announcing the official release date for his new upcoming album, “Mass Country”.
After lighting up the stage with a New Year’s Eve Unplug stage performance, AKA sat down with SlikourOnLife to talk about upcoming projects, life, and more. In the interview, the Supa Mega mentioned nodding that his upcoming album “Mass Country” has been set for release on the 27th of January, a day just before his birthday.
He also touched on the new generation of SA Hip-Hop and just how important they are in the shaping of the culture, as well as tying his connection with fellow-known musicians like K.O, Kwesta, and others, and how the ‘grass roots’ have helped cultivate the game and make other popular genres like Amapiano trend while being in the back-burner of Hip-Hop and other sounds.
Having described the name behind the project, the rapper states that the album appeals to everyone, hence the name “Mass Country”.
Coming off a fresh winning streak through the last year 2022, AKA has kept to his promise, and has since been giving fans exactly what they want. Carrying his weight both on and off the stage the rapper has had a busy career, having to redefine himself musically and also manage his personal life.
Despite dealing with past experiences, AKA has risen above it all and kept the momentum going. Sticking true to himself the rapper has managed to maintain positivity and use it as fuel to help strengthen his overall brand image.
