The Once Upon a Time Concert Series isn’t just another music event — it’s a soulful journey through the world of R&B, showcasing the best of global talent. Known for delivering unforgettable live experiences, the festival promises to once again fill Johannesburg with smooth vocals, deep basslines, and emotional lyrics that define the genre.
Earlier this year, the UK edition of Once Upon a Time in Joburg featured UK singer Sasha Keable and US rapper GoldLink as headline acts. Fans were left impressed by the electric atmosphere and world-class performances — and it seems this year’s South African edition will be even bigger.
On Tuesday, the festival organisers teased fans by announcing that another concert was coming before the end of the year. They also promised to reveal the headliner within 24 hours. However, a full day passed without any updates, leaving fans guessing and eagerly waiting for the big reveal.
Then, on Thursday morning, social media was buzzing as organisers dropped the long-awaited announcement: Dvsn would be the headline act for the December show. The duo, made up of vocalist Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, is known for hits like Too Deep, Hallucinations, and Between Us, combining soulful storytelling with smooth production.

The concert will take place at Fourways Farmers Market on 7 December 2025, running from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. General tickets are priced at R500, while VIP tickets will cost R850.
