South African traditional healer and reality TV star, Dr. Maweni, is turning 39 — and she’s celebrating in a big way. Known as Makgotso Lee-Anne Makopo, or Gogo Maweni, she shared her joy and gratitude in a heartfelt message on her birthday.
Dr. Maweni reflected on her journey over the past year with pride and honesty. “Last year I celebrated my wedding, buying a house as well as a townhouse and flipping them into a rental business,” she shared. “2025 started with drama as well as me getting arrested which I’m grateful for, as it was the greatest eye opener to appreciating what God & my Ancestors blessed me with! Today I turn 39 and yet again this year we have achieved cars, home, traditional spa as well as the birth of our beloved twins… Happy Birthday to me.”
In a video posted to her social media, she gave fans a look into her lavish life. The video shows her stunning new home, complete with a large outdoor pool, a cozy living room with brown couches, and a luxurious bathroom. She proudly showed off her brand-new Range Rover Evoque and ended the video with a romantic picnic setup outside.
The picnic scene included champagne, a white cake with strawberries, red roses, and a golden balloon shaped like the number 39. She was seen happily celebrating with her husband, and she also shared a sweet clip of her newborn twins in a brown stroller, expressing how thankful she is for her growing family.
Friends and celebrities were quick to send their wishes. Media personality Khanyi Mbau commented, “Leeee, to many more, wealth and health my angel.” Actress Lerato Mvelase added, “Happy birthday.”
Dr. Maweni welcomed her twins in July, and confirmed the news on Instagram on July 29. She also posted touching photos, including one of her husband lovingly holding the babies.
